Imperfect Foods is at odds with mass grocery stores, combatting food waste by offering perfectly delicious produce left behind just because of their looks.

The ugly truth is that our obsession with perfection is the root of many of our problems. It makes no sense to be so critical of ourselves, just like it makes no sense to be so critical of our fruits and vegetables.

We asked people to step out of their world and into a new one—an imperfect one. If we learned how to be imperfectionists, we could help save the planet…and ourselves.

There’s nothing like the classics…and there’s never been anything like an imperfect recreation of them. Pulling together the greatest still-life artworks from the past, we framed new masterpieces featuring our flawed models in our #backtostilllife social campaign.

There are tasteful ways to poke fun at flaws. We passed the mic to our flawed fruits and veggies by giving them their own profiles to roast the entertainment industry on Twitter.

Perfectionists are quick to rely on labels...and news feeds. We revisited the headlines that knocked people down and celebrated how they got back up to be their best imperfect selves with our #nutritionaladvice column.

Spoiler alert…nobody is perfect in the kitchen. To prove that even the biggest foodies can take a spill, we posted a blooper each week of stars from top cooking shows dishing out their best “oops!”.
